California State University San Marcos invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Psychology (tenure-track) with expertise in teaching Quantitative Psychology (the sub-field of specialization is open). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Psychology by August 2017; evidence of expertise in the teaching of quantitative psychology; evidence of productive research program involving students; demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and interest in supervising Masters theses. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of effective teaching at the university level; evidence of research productivity; experience working with students from diverse backgrounds. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated intercultural competence with diverse groups in teaching, research and/or service. DUTIES: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses, primarily in statistics, and will also supervise Master’s theses, involve graduate and undergraduate students in an active research program, and participate in activities serving the department, college, university, and community. We are particularly interested in applicants whose research areas complement and expand upon our current tenure-track faculty offerings. We welcome applicants with interests in interdisciplinary work.
