The Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Portland invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor beginning in the fall of 2015.  We are seeking a psychologist specializing in health psychology broadly defined, which might include addiction, psychopharmacology, community health, and/or motivation/emotion. Applicants should be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in health psychology, introductory psychology, research methods, and upper division courses in area of specialty. A commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching is essential. All psychology faculty members are expected to have a commitment to scholarly activity and the ability to mentor student research at the undergraduate level.


A Ph.D. in psychology (or evidence of completion by the time of appointment) is required.
