Heroic Imagination Project Luncheon with Dr. Phil Zimbardo

Phil Zimbardo is coming to Los Angeles!

Please join us for a special luncheon to support Phil’s Heroic Imagination Project. Or, if you cannot attend, please consider supporting this project by sponsoring one or more undergraduate students to attend the luncheon.

The Heroic Imagination Project (HIP) was founded by Dr. Philip Zimbardo, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Stanford University and 2012 recipient of the American Psychological Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Zimbardo is the world’s most recognized educator in the field of psychology. He is an expert on the psychological foundations of negative social influence (e.g., conformity, obedience, and the bystander effect), and through HIP he is using this expertise to promote everyday heroism and the psychology of personal and social growth.

Event Details:

The Heroic Imagination Project is hosting its first big fundraiser on December 15th, 2016, from 12:00-2:00pm at the California Club in Los Angeles! Phil will be giving a dynamic presentation on everyday heroism, and how personal actions fueled by moral courage can be the antidote to corruption, injustice, and evil deeds. Following this, master illusionist Apollo Robbins will blend magic and psychology in an interactive demonstration of how easily our expectations can impact our attention, perceptions & decision making.

Individuals making a donation of $250 to HIP are invited to attend this wonderful event—which includes lunch and signed copy of Phil’s prize-winning book, The Lucifer Effect.

If you are unable to make it to Los Angeles, we hope you might consider sponsoring one or more undergraduate students to attend @ $250 per student. We have huge demand from students to be there, and it would be great for half the room to be students whose attendance has been sponsored by our generous donors. Of course, you can both attend and sponsor a student to do so as well.

This support means a great deal to Phil, and it will be a tremendous help in our effort to bring psychology’s most important life lessons to students, young and old, around the world. Every week we are contacted by people in different countries that would like our help in bringing HIP lessons to their schools and cities, and we are at a critical point of needing more staff to meet these requests and scale our impact.

You can RSVP, donate and/or sponsor students to attend the luncheon (under Tickets, select “Sponsor a Local Student) by visiting our event page:
