2011 WPA Convention
The 2011 WPA Convention will be in Los Angeles from April 28 to May 1, 2011 at the Wilshire Grand. The Terman Teaching Conference will be held on April 27, from 9am to 5pm. The hotel is very close to the LA Live Entertainment Complex, Disney Hall, and other downtown attractions. It is next to a metro station to take you to Union Station, Hollywood, and Universal City. Robert A. Hicks, Professor Emeritus at San Jose State University, passed away this December. Bob Hicks served as Executive Officer of WPA for many years and received the WPA Service Award in 1994. He also established the Robert and Maralee Hicks WPA Student Research Award for outstanding student research at WPA. A memorial fund has been established at New Alternatives in San Diego. New Alternatives provides services for child victims of abuse and neglect.
