Soka University of America (SUA) is accepting applications for a full-time, one-year, Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology beginning in September for the fall 2016 – spring 2017 academic year. SUA is a 4-year undergraduate institution that emphasizes excellence in teaching and student-centered learning experiences. As such, we seek an individual with a commitment to teaching as well as an active research program that can engage diverse and talented undergraduates. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to teach Introduction to Psychology, Psychological Disorders, other advanced courses in psychology (i.e., Health Psychology and/or Neuropsychology), as well as a course in the general education curriculum. The successful candidate will also be required to supervise multiple senior capstone students in addition to the standard full-time teaching load, which is five courses a year. Required qualifications include ABD or Ph.D. in psychology.
