Important Professional Member Note:

WPA's membership year runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year with membership enrollment occurring between July 1 and March 31 of the following year. To be eligible to vote in any WPA election, you must have been an active member as of March 31 of the election year.

Students should not try to sign up as a WPA member. There is no student member option listed. Students are automatically “Student Affiliates” when they register for the convention. All students have the same registration fee.

Membership in the WPA:

• Professionals in psychology and related fields may join WPA with an option of joining for a one, two, or three-year period. A lifetime membership is also available.
• Student affiliate membership is for a one-year period. Student affiliate membership is included with student registration for the WPA convention. Students registering for the convention do not need to complete the membership form.
• All memberships are active from July 1 to June 30. Membership is open from July 1 to March 31.
• Active professional members will be offered the member rate when registering for the WPA convention.
• Active professional members will be eligible to vote in elections provided they have renewed during the membership enrollment period (July 1 to March 31).
• Professional Non-members may register for the convention at the non-member rate.
• Professional Non-members may register for the convention at the non-member rate.
• Membership is not active until payment is received. You may pay immediately via credit card or log in later; you may also pay by check that you mail to WPA. Please note: The system automatically displays a page to complete payment by credit card only. You may print the page and mail it with a check to WPA.

Membership Dues

Membership Renewal for Members with a Password from a Previous Year

You can renew your membership for one, two, or three years.

Log in using your email address and the member password you created last year.

You can renew at the current level or change to the two or three-year or Lifetime option.

When you renew, you are taken to a page to submit payment by secure credit card.

If you wish to pay by check, fill out the form without the card information, print it, and mail to WPA with your check.

Membership Procedure for New Members

Complete the new member information sheet. Then choose your membership level and follow the directions. You are given an option to pay by secure credit card. When you complete the payment, a “paid” invoice will be sent via email.You may also print the credit card payment page and mail a check for payment. You will need your email and password to register for the convention. Use this password when you first log in. You may change your password if you update your member profile.

Retired WPA Members

Retired WPA professional members may request dues-exempt status. A request with your name and organization should be mailed to Jodie Ullman.
