Stephen D. Benning, Brian Labus, and Kimberly A. Barchard, all from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, recently published an article on how to stop touching one’s face to minimize the spread of germs and viruses. In the article, they address changing habitual behaviors, creating new responses, and managing one’s triggers.

We are providing this article in light of the current situation with the COVID-19 virus. We also thank Kimberely A. Barchard (former WPA Board member and a representative on the Council of Representatives for UNLV) for her contributions to this article and for bringing it to our attention.
